John Dennett graduated from Sonoma State and taught high school for several years, then worked in the pressure washer and water recycling sales industry while living in the SF Bay Area. in 2003 he moved to Saint Louis and began a new career as a home weatherization energy auditor working for a non profit that serves low income families, improving their energy use and helping the environment one home at a time. He loved this work and was considered top in his field. He was an avid mountain bicyclist, hiker, adventurer, motorcyclist, an active and dedicated church member, a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather. John lived life to the fullest, his joy was unbounding, his laughter infectious, his enthusiasm for giving and helping others infused everything he did. As a past boss said, "most of who John was is portable and indestructible". We will carry his many wonderful qualities with us in our hearts and strive to emulate them in our own lives as we go forward.
