I had the privilege of sharing a ride with Larry in his "Impala" from Stanford to Tucson and back for Christmas break during our freshman year. Aside from being brilliant, Larry was a truely genuine, unassuming, nice person.
He led our class, and he led the world.
I spoke with Larry's mother recently who told me Larry suffered a stroke June 9, 2008 which left him totally disabled until his passing May 8, 2009.
